Late May Update 2023

Yes, we’re saying it with the last of our Season #13 flowers!

The farm is currently closed other than for Hipcamp reservations. Though "retirement" is not in our vocabulary, "redirecting" absolutely is! As we've already shared with devoted customers and those on or current mailing list, we're in the process of ending the business model that we've held on to for the last 13 years.

We're really proud of a lot of the things we have done since opening the food gardens in 2010, but it's time for a different set of experiences. With a new drive to change our lives, we are currently taking steps to divide the farm into two pieces. We'll keep the east half and maintain our home, and some new incarnation of the Shadowood Farm business here. We'll sell the west half and pray for a kind, decent, environmentally protective new neighbor.

In our perfect world, the west side would be bought by wonderful people who would maintain the TRUE organic integrity of the farm, continue to grow organic food, and accomplish things (from a business perspective) that we never could...We're hoping that a young ambitious person or group would take up the cause and keep growing REAL organic food here. If you know anyone who may be interested in growing, or who might like to partner up with someone else by investing, have them contact us via email right away.
